Young Living has the most excellent plant-based household cleaner that works out at approximately $1 per 500ml of made up solution. It cleans bathrooms (keeping mould away), kitchens, floors, windows, de-greasing,…anything you might ask of it.

Wash n’ Wow laundry powder
Ingredients
- 1 cup ground coconut soap
- 1 cup washing soda
- 1 cup bi-carb soda
- ¼ cup citric acid
- ½ cup Himalayan salt (fine)
You may add essential oils, I however do not. Add to suit your own smell preferences.
Blend all together in a blender to ensure ingredients are small, especially if salt is coarse. Use 1/3 cup in cold or hot wash.
I have a front loader and just add it to the usual detergent dispenser and it dissolves.
Rinse Aid and Dishwasher Cleaner
Thieves® Household Cleaner
OR
Food Grade Vinegar – yes that is it, just regular food grade vinegar. Use it in the rinse aid compartment and for that weekly clean, simply pop 1 cup on the bottom and run your machine on a hot cycle.
*Remember, food grade vinegar is important as non-food grade can be created with a petroleum base – I know right!
